DAY 01: OXAPAMPA IN – CITY TOUR
Reception and transfer to the hotel. You will begin the tour by entering El Tirolés to observe an Oxapampina cultural demonstration through its beautiful typical dances and you will also be able to learn to dance with them, and also taste some artisanal products. Next, you will move to Chontabamba to visit the Dairy Plant, in this place you will observe part of the cheese making process and taste these delicacies. Continuing with the tour, you will arrive at the La Florida viewpoint to appreciate the scenic beauty that surrounds the city of Oxapampa. You will live a mystical experience entering La Tunki Cave to observe the geological formations and experience the sensation of being underground. You will then enter the El Wharapo distillery to learn all about the artisanal process of making sugarcane liquor and traditional guarapo (typical drinks of the area) and you will be able to taste some of the same factory. On the way back you will enter the Casa de las Artesanías, a place where the culture and experiences of the local population are expressed through beautiful handmade works of art. You can also wear the typical Oxapampa clothing to take beautiful selfies. Finally, you will enter the center of the Chontabamba district to appreciate the beauty of its park and its very old church. DAY 02: AUSTRO-GERMAN COLONY OF POZUZO
Breakfast. This unique experience begins by leaving for the Austro-German Colony of Pozuzo, enjoying beautiful livestock landscapes and pure nature for 2 hours. Following the route, you will see two beautiful waterfalls called Rayantambo and Torrebamba waterfalls. You will cross 17 km of the Yanachaga Chemillen National Park, this section is spectacular for its abundant flora and some fauna; sometimes you can see some wild animals crossing the road, in this section you will take a short walk to breathe the pure and renewing air of this wonderful place. You will arrive at the Yulitunqui waterfall, whose attraction is the color of its waters and fresh breeze. Upon arriving in Pozuzo, you will take a brief city tour visiting: The main square of Pozuzo, the Cemetery of the Colonists, the San José Church, the Hanging Bridge and the Emperor Guillermo I. On the way back to the city, you will visit a craft beer factory, where you will learn about the processes of its production. In the afternoon, you will move to the Chancarizo Bajo hamlet to visit the Salt Water Spring, known for its medicinal properties, where you will enjoy a refreshing bath in its crystal-clear waters. Before starting your return, you will go to the Prusia neighborhood to see its large park and its attractive church with a very peculiar architectural design. On the way back to Oxapampa, you will be able to see the national bird of Peru, “The Cock of the Rocks.” Return. Accommodation in Oxapampa.
DAY 03: CATARATA RÍO EL TIGRE
Breakfast. This exciting experience begins by heading to La Catarata Río Tigre. On the way, you will appreciate the architectural beauty of the Miraflores neighborhood adorned with its beautiful typical Austro-German houses. After a few minutes, you will arrive at the “El Abra” junction where a small monument stands as a tribute to the Yanesha ethnic group, who were the original inhabitants, and to the biodiversity of the area. Upon reaching the “La Cañera” Sector, you will leave the vehicle for a few minutes to take a short walk of approximately 10 minutes along a beautiful path; you will cross a hanging bridge and then enjoy beautiful livestock landscapes. We will get back in the vehicle to continue the short trip and reach the charming Río Tigre waterfall, where you will observe its spectacular fall and you will be able to take a refreshing dip and hydromassage in its fresh waters, in the same way we will be able to take beautiful photographs. On the way back, you will visit the La Virgen spring to appreciate its beauty and peculiar formation. In the same place you will appreciate the crystalline waters of this spring, which has medicinal properties. Return. Accommodation in Oxapampa.
DAY 04: VILLA RICA
Breakfast. This coffee-scented experience begins by heading towards the coffee route. Upon arriving in Villa Rica, you will enter the city center, visit the Main Square, and the Giant Coffee Plantation. Continuing with the tour, you will move towards the El León waterfall, passing through various coffee-growing areas, and upon reaching the waterfall you will appreciate the beautiful waterfall. On the way back to the city, you will visit the Aneczú Farm to participate in the coffee tasting, and also to taste the delicious premium quality coffee. Then, walk towards the La Cumbre Viewpoint to appreciate this beautiful city from above surrounded by the greenery of the jungle. In the afternoon, you will visit a Coffee Farm to meet the specialists in the organic cultivation of this wonderful bean and you will also be able to taste a delicious cup of coffee. Next, you will visit the El Oconal lagoon wetland, where you will take a fun rowboat ride observing the diversity of birds and plants; You can also enjoy Ichthyotherapy, which is a natural anti-stress method and makes our visit to this fantastic place more satisfying. Return to Oxapampa. Overnight.
DAY 05: OXAPAMPA OUT
Breakfast. Free day to do personal activities. Coordinated time, transfer to the station to board the bus to the city of Lima.
